“Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10:13-15

Where do you work

The Middle East

Describe what you do.

Discipling new believers from a Muslim background. Long-term plan is to plant churches. First two year term will be full-time language learning and cultural acclimation.

Why did you choose your ministry? What led you to that ministry?

God led us to cross-cultural min.--but once we met with teams in the area and heard stories of how the Lord is moving in powerful ways in dreams and visions, we were drawn to this particular part of the world.

When did you make the decision to serve in missions- how old were you?

4+ year process that started when we were both 37.

Why did you decide on serving in this way? Why missions?

We heard and saw firsthand that the harvest is plentiful but the workers are too few. The imbalance was too great to ignore: 1% of global workers go to where the good news has never been heard.

Have you had other occupations?

Started my career in politics in Congress. Then worked in PR and public affairs consulting. Then got my MBA and moved into banking. Was a Commercial Banker in NJ before starting seminary and moving into this new career. Kate was a teacher prior to homeschooling our daughters.

Hobbies, interests?

Enjoyed golf and Orangetheory fitness before leaving the US.

Your favorite sport? Favorite team?

Used to love watching sports of all kinds: golf, football, basketball, soccer. Favorite football team is the Buffalo Bills.
